STOREFRONT POLITICAL MEDIA NAMES JULIE EDWARDS MANAGING DIRECTOR AND SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT

San Francisco, CA – Storefront Political Media, one of the fastest-growing political consulting firms in the country, has promoted Julie Edwards to Managing Director and Senior Vice President. Edwards will oversee political and media operations for Storefront’s 30 consultants, strategists, content creators and media buyers.

“I’m proud to promote Julie to Managing Director and Senior Vice President of our firm,” said Eric Jaye, Storefront’s CEO and Founder. “Today she joins just a handful of women who are leading political consulting shops – far too few, in my opinion. Julie is a true leader, and her grit and political experience have been a benefit to our clients and our firm since the day she started.”

Storefront Political Media was founded in 2001 and is one of the rare, full-service campaign and public affairs firms in the nation. In addition to providing high-quality products across all media platforms, Storefront offers general consulting, strategic and crisis messaging services and organizing guidance to clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to statewide candidates and labor organizations.

Storefront is also an innovator in fully coordinated media and political technology and has recently launched three spin-off start-ups: SpeakEasy Political, Storefront Digital and I Agree to See. SpeakEasy Political and Storefront Digital are democratizing the political process by making it cheaper and easier for campaigns to create high-quality direct mail and digital advertising at a lower cost, while I Agree to See is building an online audience of hundreds of thousands of consumers and activists.

“Particularly at this moment in American politics I am honored to help lead and grow a firm working to elect qualified Democrats and win support for many important causes,” said Edwards. “I’ve been honored to work alongside Eric and the best team in the business to create compelling messages, content and strategies for our clients and now I’m excited to help lead this team on to new challenges.”

Before coming to Storefront in 2014, Edwards worked in Washington, D.C. and across the nation on a number of high profile statewide campaigns. Edwards served as Communications Director for Senator Elizabeth Warren’s successful 2012 race and for Senator Patty Murray’s successful 2010 re-election campaign. Edwards was also the Senior Media Advisor for Jeff Merkley’s 2008 Senate campaign and subsequently served as his Communications Director in the U.S. Senate.

For more than ten years, she served as a senior advisor for U.S. Senators and Senate campaigns. Edwards has a long track record of working with candidates and officeholders to create proactive messages that win campaigns and advance legislative priorities.
